The type
Semolina bread, from the seven o'clock bake
A short menu, cooked the same morning
Measured in your home, built in ours
We buy at the market three times a week and write the menu around what is good that day. That is why there are six dishes and not thirty, and why the lamb runs out on a Saturday evening more often than we would like.
A label, set in the system's third family

What those colors measure
Calculated from the hexadecimals above, not judged by eye. The unit test that recomputes them fails if a colour here is changed without re-measuring.

The parts
A card
Its corner, its border and the shadow under it all come from this system, and from nowhere else.
The border of a field is held to 3:1 against the page in every style. The hairline between two sections is not, and deliberately: a separator is not a control.
The same style on a whole page
Below is the five classic sections arrangement — the commonest kind of small business site — built entirely in Candy. Nothing about the arrangement changes between styles; only the colours, the lettering and the corners do.
Accounts, payroll and tax for companies of five to fifty people.
An invented practice for this template. Four accountants, about ninety client companies, and a fixed monthly fee agreed in writing before any work starts.

A fixed fee, written down before the work starts
The practice was started in 2009 by one accountant with eleven clients, after fifteen years in a larger firm where every bill was a surprise to the person receiving it.
So the rule here is a fixed monthly fee, agreed in writing, covering a list of work that is also written down. If something falls outside that list we say so before doing it, not afterwards on an invoice.
That rule costs us the occasional month and it is why companies stay. Ninety-odd of them, and the longest has been with the practice since the first year.
